Many residents of nearby provinces have heard about Prince Edward County, and know the basics: small peninsula (1,050 square kilometers, or 405 square miles) located on the eastern end of Lake Ontario, with just under 30,000 residents and a whopping 1.5 million visitors annually.
Some people may even know a splash of specifics, such as: many parks and conservation areas (including Sandbanks Provincial Park, one of the largest freshwater and sand dune systems in the world), or an abundance of places to eat and drink (40+ wineries, as well as some distilleries - many of which are you can visit directly or via tours), beautiful landscapes (farmland, agricultural, water views), and culture (arts, events, etc.).
But… what real PEC enthusiasts know is that The County has a heart whose pulse is its very active community consisting of both those lucky enough to live here, and those passionate about passing through for another visit.
So what’s PEC Connect up to?
Good question! As past visitors and current residents, we’d like to build on The County’s current community by creating a centralized platform for all things PEC: eat, drink, play, stay, live, visit, shop, farm stands, do business, and more!
We’re in the process of building our website, and invite you to join us in amplifying our community experience for all, so we can easily find each other and things to do in this beautiful peninsula that we’re all privileged to share.
What can you do to help?
Another great question! There 3 easy ways that you can help us interconnect PEC, such as:
Sign up as a member with PEC Connect to stay-up-to date, whether you’re an individual or a business.
Register as a person/company providing goods and/or services in PEC. We’ll include you in PEC Connect’s registry, which includes categories such as:
Eat (restaurants, food trucks, caterers, etc.),
Drink (bars, wineries, distilleries, etc.),
Play (activities, things to do/see, tours, events, etc.),
Stay (hotels/motels, bed and breakfasts, short-term rentals, etc.)
Shop (local storefronts or virtual shops that people can purchase goods at),
Farm Stands (selling food or other products),
Businesses (providing goods or services; for ex: plumbing, landscaping, cleaning services, etc.).
Follow our social media (Instagram: pecconnect) (Facebook: coming soon), where you can share content with us (tag us) and/or follow us and share our content with others.
Prince Edward County has so much to offer, but its people will always be the main attraction. We can’t wait to connect with each and every one of you - and to create interconnection with each other.
Let’s connect The County’s community, together.
-PEC Connect.
