County Events for Locals in March: Local Events, Workshops & Gatherings

Things start to pick up around The County in March. While winter isn’t quite done yet, more events and workshops are filling the calendar again, giving locals a few more reasons to get out and do something different.

Mixed Media Embroidery with Christine Renaud

Description: Join Christine Renaud for a 3-hour Mixed Media Embroidery workshop exploring embroidery on watercolor backgrounds, fabric, paper, and photos. Suitable for beginners and experienced makers. Sunday, March 1, 1–4 PM. Sliding scale pricing.

Description:

Experience 90 minutes of deep rest suspended in a hammock with sound, Reiki, and breathwork, designed to restore balance, calm the nervous system, and promote relaxation.

Description: Sloan is a JUNO Award–winning rock band from Toronto that has been making music since 1992. Known as key contributors to Canada’s East Coast alternative scene, they have released over 250 songs and earned multiple JUNO nominations, including a win for Best Alternative Album.

Painting Starts: Colour, Intention & Process Workshop w/ Julie Seddon

Location: The County Arts Lab, Unit 2E, Picton Armoury Building, Picton, ON 


Description:

Description: Join Megan Lumgair of studio free folk to learn the art and purpose of altar design, create a collective circular altar, and participate in a guided meditation practice.

High Valley: Paradise and Hurricanes Tour

Description: High Valley is a multi-platinum Canadian country group known for blending contemporary country with traditional bluegrass. Led by Brad Rempel, the band has earned multiple gold and platinum singles, CCMAs, and JUNO nominations, and has built a loyal following in Canada and the U.S. with hits like “Make You Mine” and “Grew Up On That.”

Walking Program for Seniors 60+ at PECI

Location: Prince Edward Collegiate Institute & Wellington and District Community Centre, Prince Edward County, ON 

Description: A supervised walking program offering a safe and social environment to improve fitness, health, and mental well-being during the winter months.


Tickets:  Free for Active Living Program Members. Registration required.


Élevage Winter Wine Festival


Date(s): March 14-15, 2026 

Location: Prince Edward County, ON, Canada

Description: Celebrate winter in Prince Edward County with wine tastings, cellar tours, and a self-guided Tasting Passport across participating wineries and cideries. Enjoy elevated tastings, meet winemakers, and explore the wine ageing process firsthand.


Tickets: Élevage Passport: $20 + fees/tax includes one complimentary sample at five participating locations.


Élevage Passport & Elevated Tasting: $50 + fees/tax - includes one Elevated Tasting experience (1 hour) and your Tasting Passport with five samples.

Additional Elevated Tasting: $25 + fees/tax - optional for full passport holders, limited spots.


Passports mailed if purchased before Feb 28, or available for pick-up/email for later purchases


PEC March Maple Madness


Date(s): March 30, 2026 

Location: Various Prince Edward County businesses and sugar bushes

What’s Happening in PEC This March
