Prince Edward County Municipal Offices to Close for Victoria Day

Municipal offices in Prince Edward County will be closed on Monday, May 20, in observance of the Victoria Day holiday.

Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 21, at 8:30 a.m.

Despite the office closure, curbside waste collection will continue as scheduled. Residents are reminded to place garbage, green bins, and properly sorted recycling at the curb by 7 a.m. to ensure pickup. Environmental 360 Solutions and Quinte Waste Services will maintain regular service throughout the holiday.

The County’s landfill and transfer stations will operate under normal hours on Saturday, May 18.

Several recreation facilities will also be affected by the holiday. Both the Wellington and District Community Centre and the Prince Edward Community Centre will be closed on Victoria Day. The walking track at the Wellington and District Community Centre will reopen on Tuesday, May 21, at 7 a.m., and continues to follow its summer schedule of Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In addition, County Transit services will not run on Monday, May 20.
