Rossmore and Consecon Open New Outdoor Ice Rinks for Winter Fun

Date: February 05, 2023

Winter recreation opportunities have expanded in Prince Edward County with the opening of two newly installed outdoor ice rinks in Rossmore and Consecon.

Thanks to federal government funding, the new rink kits have been set up at Rossmore Park (779 County Road 28) and Consecon Park (25 Porter Street). Local firefighters, working alongside the County’s recreation department, completed the initial flooding and preparation of the ice surfaces.

The rinks will be open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., providing residents with ample time to enjoy skating throughout the winter season. Volunteer firefighters will carry out regular rink maintenance, while shovels will be available on site for light snow clearing by users.

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, visitors are reminded to follow these important rink rules.

Use of the outdoor rinks is at your own risk, and all participants are expected to be courteous, respectful, and mindful of others sharing the space.
