Vandalism Delays Opening of Outdoor Rinks in Ameliasburgh Area
The opening of outdoor skating rinks in Rossmore and Consecon has been postponed following acts of vandalism that damaged the ice surfaces.

According to the municipality, the ice was deliberately chipped, resulting in damage to the rink liners. County staff have since ordered replacement liners and plan to rebuild the ice later this week, once weather conditions allow.
The incident has been reported to the Prince Edward County OPP, and officials are asking anyone with information to contact police through the non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122.
While repairs are underway, residents can still enjoy free public skating and ticketed shinny hockey at local indoor arenas, including Family Day programming in Wellington.
