Vising PEC in February: Events, Workshops & Winter Experiences

Time flies and February is already here. That means a lot in Prince Edward County, especially it’s a celebration of love, family and community. 


The second month of  the year is cozier than you imagine, and full of experiences waiting to be discovered. PEC is known for live music, creative minds and great food even during the winter season.


Thus, this blog offers you events that will be happening throughout February and we can’t wait for you to participate! 


Arts, Culture & Creative Workshops

For hands-on creativity, exhibitions, and cultural talks.


Choreographic Thinking for All Artists


Date: February 7-8, 2026

Location: Unit 2E, 206 Main Street, Picton, ON K0K 2T0

Expand your creative practice in this weekend workshop led by Canadian choreographer Christopher House at the County Arts Lab. This workshop explores how choreographic thinking can enrich artistic work across media like visual art, writing, theatre, architecture, and more.

Dreamscapes in Fabric Collage


Date: February 9-10, 2026

Location: Unit 2E, 206 Main Street, Picton, ON K0K 2T0


A 2-day art workshop led by artist-instructor Hedy Campbell at The County Arts Lab in Picton. Explore colour, texture, and personal storytelling through fabric collage and simple hand stitching, building rich, imaginative scenes on canvas.

This course is ideal for adults looking to slow down, trust their artistic instincts, and enjoy a relaxed creative experience.

Wheel + Paint (sessions)

Attendees will be guided through the process by experienced instructors in a welcoming and social studio environment. Expect to get creative, enjoy making something unique to take home, and have a great time along the way!

Celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Wellington Heritage Museum. This features work by 10 textile artists who respond to intriguing and unexpected museum artifacts, exploring connections between historical objects and contemporary creativity. Enjoy light refreshments and the opportunity to meet some of the contributing artists in a welcoming, free-entry setting.


Fee: This free event takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 290 Wellington Main Street, and no ticket purchase is required, just drop in and enjoy!

Lucky in Love with Cue the Funk!

Escape Camp Picton

Escape Camp Picton is an immersive, World War II-inspired escape room experience held at Base 31 in The County. Includes displays on daily wartime life with a chance to try a traditional wartime cake. Perfect mix for friends, families, or getaway groups!


Fee: Mission pricing varies by experience. A Spy’s Workshop and A Spy Is Born run $40 per person for 1-3 players (plus $20 per extra up to 5). The Secret Guild has a $150 minimum for up to 5 players (additional players $20 up to 10). Purchase tickets by booking your adventure online HERE.
