Time flies and February is already here. That means a lot in Prince Edward County, especially it’s a celebration of love, family and community. 

The second month of  the year is cozier than you imagine, and full of experiences waiting to be discovered. PEC is known for live music, creative minds and great food even during the winter season.

Thus, this blog offers you events that will be happening throughout February and we can’t wait for you to participate!

Choreographic Thinking for All Artists

Date: February 7-8, 2026

Location: Unit 2E, 206 Main Street, Picton, ON K0K 2T0

Expand your creative practice in this weekend workshop led by Canadian choreographer Christopher House at the County Arts Lab. This workshop explores how choreographic thinking can enrich artistic work across media like visual art, writing, theatre, architecture, and more.

Dreamscapes in Fabric Collage

Date: February 9-10, 2026

Location: Unit 2E, 206 Main Street, Picton, ON K0K 2T0

A 2-day art workshop led by artist-instructor Hedy Campbell at The County Arts Lab in Picton. Explore colour, texture, and personal storytelling through fabric collage and simple hand stitching, building rich, imaginative scenes on canvas.

This course is ideal for adults looking to slow down, trust their artistic instincts, and enjoy a relaxed creative experience.

Wheel + Paint (sessions)

Date: February 9, 16, 23, 2026

Location: 256 Picton Main St, Prince Edward, ON K0K 2T0, Canada

Attendees will be guided through the process by experienced instructors in a welcoming and social studio environment. Expect to get creative, enjoy making something unique to take home, and have a great time along the way!

Outliers: Artists Talking to the Archive (Exhibit Launch)

Date: February 14, 2026

Location: 290 Wellington Main Street

Celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Wellington Heritage Museum. This features work by 10 textile artists who respond to intriguing and unexpected museum artifacts, exploring connections between historical objects and contemporary creativity. Enjoy light refreshments and the opportunity to meet some of the contributing artists in a welcoming, free-entry setting.

Fee: This free event takes place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 290 Wellington Main Street, and no ticket purchase is required, just drop in and enjoy!

Family Day Mugs!

Date: February 16, 2026

Location: 256 Picton Main St, Prince Edward, ON K0K 2T0, Canada.

A cheerful, family-friendly pottery painting event that offers a fun way to celebrate Family Day together. Participants of all ages can paint their own mug in a relaxed, creative setting. Grab a time slot for quality time with loved ones and make a keepsake you can sip from throughout the year.

Sam Weber & Lily Talmers with Special Guest Brian MacMillan is an intimate live music event in a cozy speakeasy setting at Karlo Estates. Known for his expressive lyrics and engaging melodies, is joined by rising folk-stylists Lily Talmers and Brian MacMillan.

Fred Eaglesmith

Get ready for a night of raw storytelling, rootsy grit, and rock ’n’ roll swagger as Fred Eaglesmith hits the stage. A true Canadian music icon, Eaglesmith blends Americana, folk, and country with unforgettable songs. Joined by Tif Ginn and The Velvet Frogs, a live show that feels equal parts concert and revival.

Prince Eddy’s Stout Fest

Lucky in Love with Cue the Funk!

Turn Friday the 13th into a lucky night out with Lucky in Love with Cue the Funk at The CAPE! This live music event is all about celebrating love in all its forms. Bring your Valentines, Galentines, and Palentines and get ready to move all night to infectious grooves and crowd-pleasing vibes.

Love Is a Sentimental Journey (Dinner & Dance)

Location: Stella's Eatery

Love Is a Sentimental Journey is Stella’s beloved Valentine’s Day dinner and dance party. Enjoy a romantic dinner serenaded by Annelise Noronha, then dance the night away to soulful sets by DJ Kirbys Dreamlands and DJ Tarot.

The Sunday Spread with Paper Kite Farm

A community-focused culinary experience at Stella’s Eatery with The Sunday Spread featuring Paper Kite Farm This relaxed late-lunch/early-dinner event highlights a sharing menu inspired by familiar flavours and comforting dishes. Games Day

Games Day is a community event that offers a casual afternoon of classic favourites like Rummoli, Corn Hole, dominoes, and bingo. These drop-in sessions are relaxed and social, making them easy to join at any time.

Books From Bygone Days (Library Book Sale)

Date: Feb 10-Feb 14, 2026

Location: 208 Main Street, Picton - Picton Branch Library

Browse a curated collection of interesting, historic, and collectible books at the Picton Branch Library’s sale. This is a community-friendly event showcases local history titles and other fascinating reads, perfect for book lovers and curious minds alike.

Winter Carnival

Date: February 15, 2026

Location: The Waring House - 395 Sandy Hook Rd, Picton ON K0K 2T0

A festive, family-friendly outdoor celebration filled with classic winter fun in the heart of The County. Enjoy a scenic horse-drawn wagon ride through the snowy grounds (weather permitting), cozy up with hot chocolate and mulled cider, and take part in fun games with prizes for all ages. Perfect for families, friends, or anyone who loves seasonal activities paired with delicious treats.

Cozy Winter Play Day at Macaulay House

A warm and playful family-friendly event held at Macaulay Heritage Park in Picton. Inside the historic Macaulay House, there are vintage board games and displays that add a nostalgic and cozy touch to the afternoon. Seedy Saturday Picton

Come and join the 17th Annual Seedy Saturday at Prince Edward Collegiate Institute for celebrating gardening and seeds! West PEC History Fair

Come out to see the displays, talk with folks at each of the tables and enjoy a hot beverage!

Escape Camp Picton

Date: Feb 14-Feb 16, 2026

Location: Barrack 9 343 County Road 22 Picton

Escape Camp Picton is an immersive, World War II-inspired escape room experience held at Base 31 in The County. Includes displays on daily wartime life with a chance to try a traditional wartime cake. Perfect mix for friends, families, or getaway groups!

Fee: Mission pricing varies by experience. A Spy’s Workshop and A Spy Is Born run $40 per person for 1-3 players (plus $20 per extra up to 5). The Secret Guild has a $150 minimum for up to 5 players (additional players $20 up to 10). Purchase tickets by booking your adventure online HERE.
