Silent Sky by Lauren Gunderson

Description: Shatterbox Theatre presents Silent Sky, a play based on the true story of astronomer Henrietta Leavitt. Set in the early 1900s, the production follows Leavitt and her colleagues at the Harvard Observatory as they map the stars and make discoveries that would transform our understanding of the universe. The play explores themes of science, ambition, friendship, and the challenges faced by women pursuing careers in astronomy.

Blue Rodeo

South Shore Fest

Description: Celebrate nature, conservation, and community at South Shore Fest, a free, family-friendly event hosted by the South Shore Joint Initiative. Explore interactive eco-exhibits from local environmental organizations, enjoy guided walks along the South Shore Footpath, attend a wildlife keynote presentation by Terry Sprague, and discover hands-on activities for children at the Wild Thing Tent. The festival also features live music, local food vendors, a special Avro Arrow display at The Mariners' Museum, and an evening laser-guided sky tour. Rain or shine.
Bloomfield Wellness Ride Series

Location: Bloomfield Wellness Club, 8 Stanley St. #15, Bloomfield, ON
Description: Bike the County and Bloomfield Wellness Club are teaming up to offer free monthly road and gravel rides for cyclists of all abilities. Each ride is approximately one hour long, with all speeds welcome. Riders should bring a helmet and bicycle; e-bikes, recumbents, and bike trailers are welcome. Rides begin and end at the Bloomfield Wellness Club and are followed by a social gathering, including post-ride coffee and, when available, post-ride beer. A great opportunity to get outdoors, meet new people, and stay active throughout the riding season.
Sign-Up / More Info: No registration required—just show up with your bike and helmet. Free for Bloomfield Wellness Club members. Non-members are encouraged to make a cash donation to PEC Trails to help support maintenance of the Millennium Trail.
