Canadian Army Reserve Training Scheduled Near Ameliasburgh
Date: November 24, 2023
Residents in and around Ameliasburgh may notice increased military activity on November 25 and 26, as members of the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment of the Canadian Army carry out scheduled infantry training exercises.

The training will take place on privately owned land operating under a formal Land Use Agreement. During the exercise, members of the public may see uniformed soldiers, military vehicles, and service weapons travelling on local roads and highways.
Officials have confirmed that no live ammunition will be used during the training. Instead, blank ammunition will be utilized to simulate operational conditions.
The exercise is part of the regiment’s ongoing readiness training, designed to ensure Army Reserve members remain prepared to support Canadian Armed Forces operations, both domestically and internationally.
