The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has confirmed that the Glenora Ferry will return to its seasonal two-vessel operation beginning the May long weekend, restoring 15-minute crossings during peak hours.

Under the seasonal schedule, two ferries will operate on weekends only from the May long weekend through the Canada Day long weekend. Following that period, daily two-boat service will be in place from Canada Day weekend until Thanksgiving weekend in October.

Peak-Hour Service Schedule

When both ferries are in service, passengers can expect more frequent crossings during busy periods:

  • 30-minute service: 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

  • 15-minute service: 10:15 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.

  • 30-minute service: 7:30 p.m. – 1:15 a.m.

During 30-minute service, one ferry departs Glenora on the hour and half-hour, while departures from Adolphustown occur at 15 minutes before and after the hour. When operating on 15-minute service, ferries depart from both terminals every 15 minutes, significantly reducing wait times during peak travel hours.

Residents and visitors with questions about ferry operations or schedules are encouraged to contact the Glenora Ferry Office at 613-476-2641.
