Patients spending the holidays at Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital and Trenton Memorial Hospital will receive an extra dose of comfort this Christmas thanks to the efforts of the Knatty Knitters.

For the fifth year in a row, the volunteer knitting group has donated handmade lap blankets to patients in hospital over the holiday season. This year marks the first time the group has extended its Christmas donations to Trenton, broadening its impact beyond Picton.

On behalf of the group, Mary and John Brett delivered 23 knitted blankets to patients at PECMH and an additional 33 blankets for patients at Trenton Memorial Hospital. The blankets are scheduled to be gifted to patients on Christmas Eve.

Beyond hospitals, the Knatty Knitters also create blankets, hats, and other knitted items for local nursing homes, continuing their tradition of spreading warmth and care throughout the community.
