Lavender joins FOCA after five years as CEO of the Prince Edward County Chamber of Commerce, where she led the organization since 2019. With her departure, the Chamber of Commerce has opened recruitment for a new chief executive, with applications being accepted until March 22.

FOCA officials said Lavender was selected following a nationwide search, citing her leadership experience, strong relationship-building skills, and deep understanding of waterfront and rural communities. Her work in Prince Edward County, a region balancing seasonal residents, visitors, and year-round communities was highlighted as particularly relevant to FOCA’s membership.

Lavender said she looks forward to expanding her work at the provincial level, with a focus on environmental stewardship, water protection, and collaboration among waterfront property owners.

The FOCA board also recognized outgoing CEO Terry Rees, thanking him for two decades of leadership. FOCA represents hundreds of waterfront associations and approximately 250,000 waterfront property owners across Ontario.
