Nationwide Recall Issued for Quaker Bars and Cereals Over Salmonella Risk
A Canada-wide recall has been issued for several Quaker-branded snack bars and breakfast cereals due to a potential salmonella contamination, according to food safety officials. The Quaker Oats Company has also announced a related recall affecting products in the United States.

In total, 38 products are included in the recall. Affected items range from Quaker Treat Bars (Berry flavour) to various Harvest Crunch granola cereals, as well as chewy granola bars, dipped granola bars, and yogurt snack bars.
Consumers are being strongly advised not to eat any of the recalled products. A detailed list outlining the affected product names, package sizes, UPC codes, and best-before dates has been released to help shoppers identify impacted items.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) warns that foods contaminated with Salmonella may not show visible signs of spoilage, such as unusual smell or appearance, yet can still cause illness.
Those at higher risk, including young children, pregnant individuals, seniors, and people with weakened immune systems, may experience more severe or potentially life-threatening complications. In otherwise healthy individuals, symptoms can include fever, headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, and diarrhea, with some cases leading to long-term conditions such as severe arthritis.
