A scheduled power interruption left approximately 1,900 Hydro One customers without electricity on Sunday morning, as crews carried out hydro pole replacement work.

According to Hydro One, the planned outage began at 7:00 a.m. and is expected to continue until around noon.

Communities impacted by the temporary shutdown include Picton, North and South Marysburgh, Hallowell, Prince Edward, and Athol. Residents in these areas were advised in advance of the maintenance to minimize inconvenience.

Hydro One says the work is necessary to maintain and improve the reliability of the local power system, and service will be restored once the upgrades are complete.
