Picton Woman Celebrates $100,000 Lottery Win
A Picton resident is celebrating a $100,000 lottery win after playing the Instant Gift Pack scratch ticket.
Kathy Vidito told the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) that she regularly plays instant tickets, but never expected such a big win especially since the ticket was a Christmas gift from her sister. After checking the ticket and seeing the prize amount, she said she had to scan it twice to be sure it was real.
Still in disbelief, Vidito immediately contacted her sister and rushed over to share the news in person. She later collected her winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
True to a long-standing promise, Vidito plans to share the prize with her sister, with the pair looking forward to a short getaway to celebrate the unexpected windfall.
The $20 Instant Gift Pack ticket was purchased at Scott’s Store on Lake Street in Picton, with the game offering a top prize of $100,000.
